I was severely broken — and I went first so you wouldn't have to figure it out alone.
I was a young mother. Misguided. Moving with grit but in the wrong direction. I had people in my corner who believed in me — but I hadn't learned yet how to believe in myself.
Then I walked into a room where people thought differently about money, about success, about what was possible. I was a technician at a private equity firm — not because I had it all figured out, but because I kept showing up. And once I was in that room, I started reading. Listening. Asking questions nobody had ever taught me to ask.
"I started a 401k. A high-yield savings account. I learned about HSAs and APR rates. I paid down debt strategically instead of throwing small amounts everywhere that never moved the needle. Before I knew it — everything changed. And it started with changing how I thought."
Virginia holds a Bachelor's degree and is currently pursuing her PMP certification. I wrote the first workbook during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Not as a guru. As a woman doing the work. Project HER exists because I found the room — and I came back to build a door for every woman who hasn't found it yet.
